This project is being carefully carried out by an experienced team of 20 people including nurses (patient questionnaire, quality control), medical technicians (blood test, sample processing, anthropometric and clinical measurements), administrative staff (recruiting and tracking), a professional offering psychological support if needed, and generous volunteers who help recruit participants by phone. The principal investigator and chair of the Biobank’s management committee, Jean-Claude Tardif, MD, guides and oversees development of the project with the greatest scientific rigour. Director David Busseuil, PhD, coordinates the many internal and external initiatives connected with the Biobank and supervises and optimizes the project by efficiently managing the multidisciplinary teams involved.
