The Montreal Heart Institute are inviting you to participate in a study to evaluate the effects of a combination of antifungal drugs called terbinafine and itraconazole to treat Crohn Disease.

Mission

The Montreal Heart Institute has a three-fold mission of care, teaching and research. With this in mind, we aspire to:

  • Provide the best care;
  • Evaluate and improve current care practices;
  • Share knowledge and know-how;
  • Make major discoveries in the cardiovascular field that will ultimately contribute to improving patient care and public health.

To conduct these the clinical studies, the MHI Research Centre benefits from the expertise of a group of internationally renowned scientists and from cutting-edge basic and clinical research infrastructure. It also draws on the expertise of the Montreal Heart Institute Coordinating Center (MHICC), a branch of the MHI.

Ethics

All of the clinical studies taking place at the MHI are evaluated by the Research Ethics and New Technology Development Committee (CÉRDNT). This committee is composed of health care professionals, and ethics, legal and public representatives. The mandate of the CÉRDNT is to ensure the protection of participants.
