Mission
The mission of the Physical Therapy Department is to provide respiratory and cardiovascular rehabilitation care to inpatients along with outpatient services to heart transplant clients or clients with ventricular assist devices. Physical therapists work in an interdisciplinary clinical context and strive to help patients achieve optimal function and to identify the best treatment orientation at discharge based on residual impairment and the patient's medical condition.
