$3,048,400 raised at the 14th Grand Bal des Vins-Coeurs


The Montreal Heart Institute Foundation raised $3,048,400 at the Grand Bal des Vins-Cœurs on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at the Uniprix Stadium. This amout include a generous donation of $1.5 M by Fondation Marcelle et Jean Coutu.

On this distinguished event, the Foundation awarded its prestigious medal of honour to Mr. Rae, whose professional achievements are only matched by his generous philanthropic endeavours. As a member of its Board of Directors for 25 years, Mr. Rae has helped the Foundation to raise more than $2 million.

While enjoying the cardiovascular system–inspired decor designed by Cirque du Soleil, guests at the Grand Bal des Vins-Cœurs will be treated to a one-of-a-kind evening, including a mesmerizing and unique performance by artists from the Cirque du Soleil.


Flagship event for the Montreal Heart Institute
Each year, with support from its loyal partners the SAQ and the Cirque du Soleil, as well as from its numerous sponsors and donors, the Grand Bal des Vins-Cœurs has allowed the Foundation to raise more than $1.5 million to support the innovative projects, priorities and continuity of the Montreal Heart Institute.

Under the persidency of the Right Honourable Jean Chrétien, the Honourable Bob Rae, and noted pianist Oliver Jones, the success of the Foundation’s Grand Bal des Vins-Cœurs is also made possible thanks to the commitment of its co-presidents: Jean Carle, Docu-Dépôt inc.; Michel Chrétien, Université de Montréal; Edward S. Goldenberg, Bennett Jones; Yves Gougoux, Publicis Canada; Rickie Khanna, L’Usine de Spaghetti; Stéphane Lemay, Power Corporation of Canada; Tony Meti, G.D.N.P. Consulting Services Inc.; and Pierre Michaud, DAVIDsTEA.
