  • A GPS for navigating inside patient hearts

    The Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) has become the first hospital in North America where patients can benefit from a GPS system that lets cardiologists accurately navigate the heart during procedures to treat cardiac rhythm disorders. Developed by St. Jude Medical, MediGuide Technology considerably reduces radiation exposure by producing a full three-dimensional (3D) image of the heart from pre-recorded X-rays.

  • Percutaneous treatment of mitral valve failure The Montreal Heart Institute designated as a North American Center of Excellence

    The Montreal Heart Institute has just been designated as a Center of Excellence by Abbott Vascular for the percutaneous treatment of mitral valve failure with their MitraClip system.
