The Montreal Heart Institute emergency room is moving on December 10, 2017

December 5, 2017

The Montreal Heart Institute wants to inform the public that its emergency room will move to temporary facilities on Sunday, December 10, 2017.

To avoid impeding the move to the new location and ensure the transfer goes smoothly, we are asking the public to avoid going to emergency between 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon on Sunday, December 10, 2017. Nearby hospitals will take over during this brief period and ambulances will be sent to other centres that can take charge of clients who require urgent care.

The temporary move is necessary to allow for the renovation of the new section that will house the emergency unit permanently as of 2020.
