Dr. Larose has been practising medicine since 1981. Formerly the chief of the emergency department at the CHUS - Hôpital Fleurimont, he is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Université de Sherbrooke. He also serves as an expert physician for Quebec's coroner's office. He has been an expert witness for the defence and for various law firms working on professional liability cases. He has written texts and reviewed fact sheets on different health problems for a website for the general public. He was the president of Les Sceptiques du Québec, a non-profit organization that he helped found#. He has worked as a physician at the Emergency Department of the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) since 2007.
