Profile 

Dr. Jason Andrade is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Université de Montréal. He is a graduate of McMaster University (BSc) and the University of Ottawa (MD). He followed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the University of British Columbia with a clinical and research fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Montreal Heart Institute. He has received several honours and awards, including the Richard E. Beck Prize for Teaching, the Peter J. Armanious Award for Proficiency in Clinical Cardiology, and the Joseph J. Diamond Memorial Prize for Research. He is now a staff cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist at the Montreal Heart Institute.

His specialty areas include the catheter ablation of complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia, as well as the implantation and management advanced cardiac implantable device therapy (pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and resynchronisation devices).

Dr. Andrade has conducted research in his areas of specialization and has published more than 50 articles and abstracts in leading peer-reviewed medical journals including Heart Rhythm, The New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of the American College of Cardiology, The Canadian Journal of Cardiology, The Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Pacing and Cardiac Electrophysiology, and Europace.

In addition to these research pursuits Dr. Andrade has created best-selling medical applications for mobile devices including the ECG guide, the AF guide, Cardiocalc and Qx Calculate.

Dr. Andrade is affiliated with several professional associations including, the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, the Heart Rhythm Society, and the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society, where he is a member of the CHRS education committee.
