A cardiologist and electrophysiologist, Dr. Denis Roy has held various management positions at the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI), including chief of the Electrophysiology Department and then chief of the Department of Medicine. He has also served as director of the Department of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine of Université de Montréal and then until just recently acted as Executive Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Director of Hospital Affairs for the Réseau universitaire intégré de santé (RUIS) of Université de Montréal. Dr. Roy has also been the president of the Association des cardiologues du Québec and president of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society.
