An active medical staff member in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) since fall 2006, Dr. Rochon has also served as the chair of the Council of Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists (CPDP) since 2012.

After receiving his degree in medicine from Université de Montréal in 1999, Dr. Rochon finished his specialization in anesthesiology at McGill University in 2004. Thanks to the fellowship competitions of the Bal du Cœur and the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society, he finished his training in cardiac anesthesiology and research at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York from 2004 to 2006.  

A clinical assistant professor at Université de Montréal, Dr. Rochon shares his clinical expertise in cardiac anesthesia through teaching and research activities. Since 2006, he has directed the #complementary training program in cardiac anesthesiology and perioperative transesophageal echocardiography# at the MHI. Some of his research interests include transfusion medicine, perioperative hemostasis, thromboelastometry, echocardiography, minimally invasive surgery and cerebral oximetry.
