The 16th edition of the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation’s (MHIF) Grand Bal des Vins-Coeurs will take place tonight in the Cirque du Soleil’s studios for the first time! “The Cirque du Soleil has been a partner of the Foundation for many years now and they will go all out to give us a magnificent performance. Bernard Derome will be the master of ceremonies for this prestigious event,” said Henri-Paul Rousseau, President of the Board of Directors of the Foundation. Also present tonight will be: Gaétan Barrette, Minister of Health and Social Services, Hélène David, Minister of Higher Education, Guy Breton, rector of Université de Montréal, as well as several key figures from Montreal’s artistic and business communities including Guy Carbonneau, Isabelle Maréchal, Daniele Henkel, and Jean-Luc Mongrain. “By attending the event, these individuals demonstrate the importance of supporting the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI), a jewel of our city and an international leader in cardiovascular medicine,” said Dr. Denis Roy, Chief Executive Officer of the Montreal Heart Institute.

During the evening, the Foundation will award its prestigious medal of honour to members of the Saputo family in recognition of their generosity, involvement, and dedication to the Foundation. The family will use this opportunity to announce that they are making an outstanding donation dedicated to preventing cardiovascular disease at the Montreal Heart Institute.

The Foundation has benefited from the precious contribution of its platinum partners: National Bank and BMO Financial Group. Thank you to our loyal partners, the Cirque du Soleil for their performance and the SAQ for their selection of superb wines. Thank you to all of you who have supported us to help us make the Grand Bal des Vins-Coeur a success.
