The Foundation Contributes $5,480,809 to the Montreal Heart Institute

During its annual general assembly on June 13, the Board of Directors of the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation approved a contribution of $5,480,809 to the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) to promote its development and support its priority projects. 

In 2012-2013, through all of its fundraising activities, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation was able to collect $13.1 million. Since its creation 36 years ago, the MHI Foundation has contributed more than $175 million to the Montreal Heart Institute.

To “Give for the Heart” is the concrete action that more than 31,525 individuals and businesses have taken in 2012-2013, thus participating actively in the fight against cardiovascular disease which is conducted on a daily basis at the MHI.

The Foundation helps to address significantly the priority needs of the Institute by offering its doctors, professionals and researchers the financial support that allows them to accomplish great achievements. Thanks to this financial support, the Institute is able to remain a world leader in cardiovascular medicine.
