The Montreal Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF) and the Blue Metropolis Foundation are proud to announce an innovative partnership—a literary contest in celebration of Heart Month and the Montreal Heart Institute’s 60th anniversary. Aspiring writers are invited to visit www.mercidetoutcoeur.com to submit their testimonials in praise of the MHI.
2014 Blue Metropolis Festival: an event with heart
The partner foundations invite patients and loved ones, volunteers, staff members, cardiologists and donors of the MHI to submit a short text on why the Institute is so dear to their hearts. “Lives are saved every day at the Institute thanks to the amazing care provided by doctors and staff members. Following a brush with death—by yourself or a loved one—life takes on a completely new meaning. It’s these stories that we want people to share with us,” said Mélanie La Couture, Executive Director of the MHI Foundation.

The testimonials (maximum 600 words) expressing recognition or appreciation must all start with “MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO THE MHI...” and be submitted at www.mercidetoutcoeur.com before March 15, 2014.
The authors of the winning texts will be invited to attend the Blue Metropolis Festival (April 28 May 4, 2014), where they will participate in a professional writing workshop.
