  • $1,801,700 fundraised for the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation thanks to the Grand Bal des Vins-Cœurs

    The Grand Bal des Vins-Cœurs, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation’s signature event, was held last night in the Salle des pas perdus at the Windsor Station. For this 19th edition, near 800 generous philanthropists, mainly from the business community, took part in the celebrations. Hosted by entrepreneur Nicolas Duvernois, this prestigious evening focused on innovation and cooperation helped raise $1,801,700.

  • Major Fundraising Campaigns Closing Cocktail

    Several generous donors gathered together on May 6 to celebrate the launch of Investing in Excellence, a project whose first foundation stones were laid last September.     A clinical study aimed at reducing risks of heart attacks and strokes with a low-cost drug derived from a plant

    The Montreal Heart Institute is happy to announce a $1,000,000 financial contribution from the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation which will go towards the COLCOT study, currently in progress at the Montreal Heart Institute. This study is aimed at preventing heart attacks, strokes and deaths by developing an accessible and affordable drug from a plant extract.

  • More than 400 young professionals gathered at the 5th edition of the HeartBeat benefit event and raised $103,000

    The 5th edition of HeartBeat took place on November 22. This benefit event, organized by the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Committee, raised $103,000 to help patients affected by cardiovascular disease. This unique networking event, which brought together 400 young professionals from a variety of fields, took place at 1909 Taverne moderne in Montreal and featured a silent auction, a DJ and networking activities.

  • Major donation of $450,000 from Sun Life Financial : MHI creates a one-of-a-kind diabetes prevention clinic in Canada

    In celebration of World Diabetes Day, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of the Diabetes Prevention Clinic sponsored by Sun Life Financial. The only one of its kind in Canada, this multidisciplinary program will launch in December at the Montreal Heart Institute's EPIC Center, the largest center for cardiovascular disease prevention in the country. This initiative is made possible by a major donation of $450,000 from Sun Life Financial.

  • RBC Royal Bank donated $1.5 million to the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation for the creation of a Simulation-Based Education Program

    As part of Healthcare Simulation Week, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation announced the creation of the only Simulation-Based Education Program in the country completely dedicated to cardiology. Canada’s first program of its kind at the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) is made possible thanks to a $1.5 million donation from RBC Royal Bank.
