He is currently an active medical staff member of the Department of Surgery at the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) and the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal.
Having earned his medical degree from Université de Montréal in 1975, he received his specialty certification in general surgery in 1979 and in cardiothoracic surgery in 1981. Thanks to an award from the Medical Research Council of Canada, Dr. Pagé completed his research training in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
A full professor of surgery at Université de Montréal, Dr. Pagé's research interests include cardiac arrhythmia surgery, atrial fibrillation, the autonomic nervous system and cardiac neurophysiology. His list of publications includes over 125 articles, 260 presentation abstracts and 21 book chapters.
