Stress management workshop

In addition, the Centre ÉPIC has responded to pressing demand from its members for stress management services.  A stress reduction clinic, based on a model that has proven effective in cardiac prevention, has been put in place.  The model used is that developed by the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, a model that has also been adopted by Duke University's Cardiac Prevention Centre. The approach favours yoga and meditation (mindfulness) as well as classic relaxation methods as tools for reducing stress. The stress management workshop is led by Dr Robert Béliveau and is a 10 to 12 weeks program.
