Nursing Development


Developing nursing practices and skills and preparing new nursing resources are constant concerns for the management team, supported by the coordinator of specialized care, teaching and research, also a visiting professor at the Faculté des Sciences infirmières, Université de Montréal .

The coordinator has the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementation of the role of nurse practitioner in cardiology
  • Planning, organizing and coordinating critical care and staff orientation programme
  • Planning training courses for student nurses and orderlies
  • Supervising the clinical monitor nurse and the smoking cessation programme nurse
  • Supervising the preceptorship programme
  • Coordinating stages for student nurses at the Master's and Ph.D. levels and collaborating with nursing research
  • Implementation of a cardiovascular nursing training centre
  • Supervising student nurses at the Bachelor's and Master's levels
  • Implementing the Caring approach
  • Supervising the Smoking cessation support programme
  • Supervising clinical monitors and associate nurses from the Faculté des Sciences infirmières, Université de Montréal
