Employees are allowed to photocopy documents
for purposes of research and teaching within the limits
authorized by the copyright.
A user code allows users to photocopy
documents themselves. The Documentation Centre assigns a user
code to each of the institution's departments.
Charges apply for photocopies for personal use
and users from outside the MHI are also required to pay for
photocopies.
Loans
The MHI identification card is mandatory for
document loans.
Documents are loaned for a period of one
week.
To protect the collection, documents cannot be
taken from the library outside of opening hours.
The user is responsible for documents until
they are returned; in the event that a document is lost, the
user will be required to reimburse the Centre for its
cost.
Interlibrary loans
This service is offered for documentation that
must be located and ordered from another library in the network
or another documentation centre.
The user must complete an ILL form to request
a document not available at the Documentation Centre. This form
is available on the MHI network. Forms must be forwarded to the
staff at the Documentation Centre (this service is free, except
when the request must be forwarded to other centres where
charges apply; charges apply for libraries that do not have a
reciprocal agreement).
Users are responsible for documents borrowed
through the interlibrary loan service until they are returned
within the prescribed loan period.
