Team work and multidisciplinary effort
Research at the MHI owes its exceptional dynamism to
team work by practitioners, basic researchers and specialists
from a variety of disciplines, including cardiology, anesthesia,
surgery, radiographic and nuclear imaging, psychiatry,
psychology, biology, pharmacology, medical technology and
nursing. Each research project benefits from being
conducted in a multidisciplinary environment in which knowledge
from a variety of sources is available.
And behind each of these sources is a team of
professionals. It is from contact and synergy among all these
specialists that new ideas are born.
MHI researchers are universally respected by their
peers. Their work is highly rated by funding agencies. Their
research is published in the world's most prestigious medical
journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, The
Lancet, Circulation, Journal of Biological Chemistry and Nature
and Circulation Research.
