Cardiologie d'intervention
Luc Bilodeau
, M.D
My research team's particular interests include
clinical research, animal modelization and biomaterial
development in interventional cardiology. Global work
aims at searching for new applications, technique refinement and
implantation of new concepts for minimally invasive percutaneous
treatment of coronary disease, valvulopathy, peripheral vascular
disease and cardiac failure.
Actually we are working at refining coated and
covered stents to prevent restenosis. We have a
research program in gene therapy for refractory
angina. We elaborate in conjunction with the medical
devices industry a new generation of excimer laser to treat
totally occluded arteries. We are also working at
developing percutaneous mitral annuloplasty.
